Motion Électronique

“The Passengers” was written as a commission from the New York City new-music organization Composers Concordance for a concert and compilation album of electronic music called Motion Électronique on Composers Concordance Records. I wanted to create a hybrid of dark ambient music, American folk, and metal. I composed the music, recorded the electronics, and performed the vocals with Grammy-award winning producer Brian Forbes. The lyrics are from the book of Lamentations as translated by Renaissance poet, John Donne.
